Kitchen, Living Room and Bedroom All In One? Perfection!!

Bryan is trying to take the credit for my brilliant idea to stack the trundle bed on the other mattress and put our shoes there. I kind of feel like Carrie Bradshaw when I pull this out to make my shoe selection.

Thank goodness this place came with a TV since it is $1650 a month

Because we put our bed on cinder blocks I practically have to run and jump to make it on the bed, but it is worth it to have somewhere to store stuff.

Really, how many people have the luxury of being this close to the kitchen from their bed? SAAWEET!

The lights in here are so fluoresent that they make my teeth glow, not a good place to put make up on.

Those two lamps are the only light in our apartment, besides the bathroom. Needless to say it is a very dark place. Good thing that bright quilt came with the room to brighten things up; it only has a few cigarette burn holes in it.

Ah yes, how could I ever need anything more!! I can't wait to cook in here every day! There is no freezer in that half frigde and no oven which is why we had to buy that litter toaster oven. Did I mention that the walls and ceiling's are asbestos heaven?

Fun friday!

Laura and I had a really fun friday. David and Susie came into town and took us to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. While we were there a really bad snow storm hit and we got stuck in the mall parking lot for an hour because the traffic was bad due to the icy roads. Once we finally got out of the parking lot we decided that it was too crazy out to try and make it to Springville so we went to BYU and bowled a game until the weather and traffic cleared. As you can tell we had a great time. We obviously were bowling in the wrong direction as the pins are located behind us. Luckily no one got hurt.

The seriously bowler pose. I shouldn't admit this but Laura did win this game. The final score was 137 to 107. I really am a pretty good bowler but I didn't want her to feel bad so I let her win. Haha.

Laura cooked...AGAIN...but not when Bryan was here to verify that it was really her.

Unfortunately I wasnt there to verify how good it was or if Laura actually made it. Nice try though. Here she is again claiming to have made a really great roasted chicken and vegetables. She has yet to cook anything for me.

On saturday we had dinner and went to see the lights at Temple Square with Aunt Sandy. She made a really good Chicken Courdon Bleu and asparagus. Seeing the lights at the temple was really fun because it had just snowed so it felt like christmas.

Home sweet home!

I am back again and we made it through another semester! Luckily this will be the last one that we have to spend apart.

Sadly, in order to get ready for a big move to Grand Cayman we had to give away our two cats. They were so much fun and we will miss them. Unfortunately, over the next few years we will be moving around a lot and felt that it would not be fair to Roger and Fiona to be constantly changing their environment. We found them a new owner in Washington that is really excited to have them. So they got to ride in the cargo section of an airplane on one of the coldest days. We felt so bad for them but they are doing great at their new home and we are happy that their new owner is enjoying them as much as we do.

The carriers in the background say "LIVE ANIMAL". We packed them with pillows to keep them warm on their flight.

We Got the Call!!

Many of you know that Bryan and I have been living apart since May because he is in med school in Grand Cayman and I stayed here to work. I was trying to find a job there, but found out it was difficult to get my dental hygiene lisence there and a work permit. We almost gave up hope, but Bryan worked his magic and found a dentist who needed a hygienist to start in January. The dentist got my permits in about a month verses 6 months and called before Thanksgiving to tell me I was clear to come over. Probably some of the best news Bryan and I have heard this year. We are so excited to be together. The hardest part is leaving my job in Payson and leaving all my room mates (my sister's family.) We are leaving December 30th.

Here is the place we will be staying, i'll post pictures later. It's amazing what $1700 can do on Grand Cayman: a studio apartment, with half a fridge, no oven, and no washer or dryer. I'll post pictures when we get there. The best part is that we will have a little home together.

I Can Cook!

I suprised Bryan when we got married by being the most horrible cook ever! Seriously I have made some nasty things and now I am determined to have some meals turn out ok. Saundra has put me in charge of Monday night dinners and last week I made lasagna. Turned out great. Bryan didn't believe me so here is the proof. Jackson is trying to take the credit, but on well. I am going to miss these kids.
