Bryan's last week of freedom.

We went to a movie, we were the only ones there.

Warning this post might be a little boring...

but I have done a lot of work putting together these snorkeling pictures. I thought that I would post some of my favorites. They are in no particular order.
This set of pictures is of a cowfish. This guy let me get really close to him. It seemed that the closer I got to him the more he would change colors. I didn't realize how many things have the ability to change colors to blend with their environment until I moved here.

This is a video of an octopus that we found. Its really rare to see these around (I think) so we were pretty excited when we found him. Once he finally got sick of us playing with him he inked us and took off. I wasn't sure if the ink was dangerous so I frantically got out of the water. Come to find out its not dangerous at all. Make me wish I would have gotten a video of it because it was pretty cool. The rest are close up pictures of the octopus.

Check out the tentacles and eyes on these pictures (click on pic to enlarge). Also notice how he changes color.

Just more of some of my favorites from the past week.

Having a ton of fun

There really isn't a point to this post except to show everyone that we are having a ton of fun. These pictures were taken over the weekend. Laura and I snorkeling on the north side of the island

In the pool at Pappagallo's. The scenery is really great and the pool is really nice.

The Wilson's who let us use their pool whenever we want.

Can't Wait to Go Back!

As I posted earlier, I have been able to do a lot of snorkeling since I am on break from school. Our friends that live on the north side of the island really enjoy snorkeling as well. Fornately for me, they also live by one of the best reefs around the island. We have a really great time every time we go out. Its such an adventure and we are constantly seeing new and different things everytime we go out.

Jeff is good at finding the sharks that hide under the coral. He found 2 this last time we were out.
The scenery is incredible!

There are so many kinds and colors of fish!

This is a pretty blurry picture of a green moray eel but it has a story behind it. I never expected to ever see one of these, however as we were coming back to shore I spotted it sitting in some sea grass. I was pretty nervous because they are so creepy looking. By the time I got my camera oriented good enough to take a picture, it decided that it had enough and proceeded to swim straight at me with its mouth wide open. As a result my picture turned out pretty blurry! But I guess, it not only captures the eel but also the fear and intensity of the moment. Once I got over what had just happened, we started to swim after him to get a better picture. Unfortunately we couldn't get him to stop long enough to take the shot. This is what it actually would have looked like had I not chickened out as it was coming to eat me! http://www.sheddaquarium.org/images/articles/Green_Moray_Eel_0578.JPG

And here is a video of a guy who got his thumb bitten off by one if you are interested. It pretty cool. Make sure to watch all the way to the end.

A Weekend at the Woods

Apparently it is ok at the Wood's home to have a dog at the table. Oh well, Lucy has been with us for about 13 years now so she is practically human. Hi Lu Lu Lu Lu Lucy!
Laura, Riley and Chelsea. Easter lunch, Hamburgers!! Yummy.

Laura, Chelsea and Mom. They wore aprons just to look like they helped with dinner, but really I made it all by myself :)

Homie and Lu.

I just can't get over that there is a temple in Rexburg! Just down the street from my house!! I love love love it! Every time I go inside I reflect upon my childhood and how lucky I was to grow up in a town that now has a temple.

Kristen's Wedding.

This is my cousin Kristen's wedding cake without the flowers, I loved it though, I had to get a picture.

Cameron, Erin, Corey and Laura. Corey was my idol growing up, we got into so much trouble together. It is always fun to meet up with the Wood clan as you can see by Cameron's expression.
My mom and dad. Today is their Anniversary..somthing like 31 or 32 years. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! And look at how in love they are :)

I was sad I didn't get a good picture of Kristen and Todd but this will do. She looked so pretty that day and her sealing was very special. Congratulations Andersons!
