What has Bryan Been Up To?

Just school and here is our lovely clean apartment. One of my friends wanted to know where we put all our clothes and here they are!! That is usually what they are doing, just laying around.
So Bryan just comes home to eat a peanut butter and apricot sandwhich and then he goes back to school and then comes home for dinner or we go out if I don't want to cook. Then he goes back to school.

Lucky Pink Scrubs.

Last week I wore my pink scrubs and I had a very lucky day........ This is the break/lunch/lab room at work isn't it nice?!! Well, I walked into the room and 3 assistants were in there talking to our lab tech guy and he turned to me and said " If you can pull this 10 dollar bill out of this bootle without tipping the top bottle off you can have the bill." I guess all the girls had been trying to do it and I didn't know that but I walked right up and yanked it out without even moving the other bottle! Yippy! I never win anything so I was happy. I think the other girls are indimiated by me now :)
I got in the elevator at my apartment and my friend Allison was in there in my exact same scrubs! She is a physical therapist here.

I also got a free rug from someone at work and that was pretty lucky too, I think. AND it just happens to match our very lovely cigarette burned, mysteriously stained island bed spread! Isn't our apartment cozy?

Beach

How hard is it to get a picture everyone is happy with? Shalynna, Heidy and Laura

Fun with friends at the beach on ANOTHER Cayman Holiday.

Star Fish

On one of the many holidays here a few of us went to this star fish place on the island. Kaity and Allie
Kiern and Porter

Laura and Kate

It was fun to see these star fish and even cooler that we could pick them up. This was one of the smaller ones, I don't know why I didn't get a picture of a big one.

HOMESICK!!

Now that Bryan is back in school I am lonely again and so then of course I think about home and when I think about home I think about my family and then I am HOMESICK! Some of my close friends may remember me having a hard time at sleep overs when I was young because I got homesick over the night and my sweet mom would have to get up in the middle of the night and come get me. It is probably a good thing I am an ocean away so she has a good excuse when I call her crying.

Me on Bryan's favorite truck on my dad's farm.
Fully loaded baked potatoe anyone?...anyone? I even miss the smell of rotten taters.

One of my favorite things ever is going to the farm with my dad on Sunday mornings before church. Can you believe this stack of potatoes is 15 feet deep?

Has anyone NOT seen my mom in this exact position doing this exact thing? I didn't think so. I think my siblings and I have over hundreds of pictures of this scenerio. This little couch in my mom's kitchen sure has a lot of mother napping miledge on it. I MISS MY MOM!

I MISS MY DAD!!

HELLO FROM THE CARRIBEAN!

I love this pictures because Bryan looks scared in which is really opposite from what is usually going on. I am kind of a wimp in the water, I am always afraid something will bite me. I also think it is funny that there is a man boob in the picture and no Bryan doesn't have them so look closer. Anyhow, just wanted to tell everyone hello and that we really had a great time together while Bryan was on break. Wish you all could be here with us, espeically those who were supposed to be here 2 Christmas's ago but couldn't because of the rain.

MORE SNORKELING

First thing to know is to fully wash out the defogging solution aka soap before beginning. Otherwise it stings the eyes.
Laura diving pictures. Bryan had the camera which is why I am in most of the pictures. By the way did I mention that our underwater camera is awesome! I guess it was ok for me to break out other camera by accidently dropping it so we could get this one:)

STING RAY CITY

7 years good luck if you kiss a sting ray.

STING RAY CITY

2 Christmas's ago my dad took our family on a cruise and we planned on going to Sting Ray City in Grand Cayman, but then it rained and they canceled our day here. Bryan has been here but this was my first time and it was so much fun. I was a little scared at first but then I decided that there were a ton of people out there and so it must be safe. So then I got to hold lots of them. Wish we could go here every Saturday.

TURTLE FARM!!

So this day was so fun. I could spend hours at the Turtle Farm by myself and have a great time. It is so fun to pick these little guys up. We had fun trying to hold them in the water and then they would try to swim away and splash lots of water, they actually have a lot of power. These turtles were some of the small ones and they have some that go up to 600 pounds. One very cool thing about this island is that they don't have US rules which means we could pick up the turtles and there wasn't even anyone watching us! One of my patients works here and she was kind enough to get us in for free.

Isn't she pretty? This croc is new to the Turtle Farm and doesn't have her own exhibit yet so Nancy, my friend took us in the back so we could see her. This croc swam right over and stared us down, gave me chills! She was only about 4 feet away, Bryan pushed me closer to the fence so we could get a picture together and I was so nervous which is why I look a little unhappy.

We went on a Sunday drive along the beach.

The flip flop tree.
On the beach.

In a cute little hut on the beach. Not too hot in the shade, very nice.

Bryan swinging on the tree swing.

Laura at the ONLY cliff on the entire island. The lava rock is very sharpe and poky.
