Baby pictures

We had Lola's pictures done on Tuesday. The photographer was Errin Andrus (http://errinandrusphotography.com/) and she did a great job. She sent us this sample so we could see how the pictures are going to turn out. We can't wait to see the rest! She is also giving away a free photo shoot...so if you are interested please check her website and blog out http://errinandrusphotography.com/blog/.

Baby Lola Is Here

This is the first time I really got to hold her. Delivery went great, but she had some trouble breathing and had to be on a CPAP machine for about 6 hours. Daddy didn't leave her all night. She weighed 6lb 7oz and was 19 inches long. We couldn't believe she had dark hair!! We are so glad she is healthy and are joyful that we finally have a daughter. Born March 2, 2010.

Grandma Susie was with us almost the entire time at the hospital. I was so glad that we are at a time in our lives when we can be so close and she could be there for the delivery.
Thanks for the flowers Grandma/Grandpa Taylor, Aunts Jordan and Allison!
My dad also sent us flowers in the hospital. Thank you!

Happy daddy

Visitors in St. George

My Dad found some new slippers. They are actually mine and they have bows on the front. Can't get him to take them off, he says they are too comfortable. Next time I am buying pink slippers!
Saundra came down to visit and brought Teddie. Teddie loved going to the dog park. She is such a cute little puppy and everyone at the dog park LOVED her.
Dad and mom playing on the toys.
This is such a great place to take dogs, Tilly looks forward to going every day. We have all made some friends there.
Saundra, Laura and Lola.
I didn't realize the girls look like American Eagle representatives!

Jackson, Bryan and London LOVE Tilly.

Saundra at the dog park.
Tilly getting a bath.... in the kitchen sink. I promise we cleaned it after, it is just the easiest place to give the pup a bath.

Tilly thinks Bryan is her boyfriend and she always falls asleep in his arms.
Dad and I went on a Jeep ride and it was so beautiful. We found this deep canyon and had fun throwing rocks off the cliff.

Name that Boston Terrier

Can you identify which Boston Terrier is which?
To help you out here are the in random order:
Rocco
Lucy
Tilly

Although there isn't a dog in this pic I decided to do a quick post to update about Lola. I am not due until March 14th, but my doctor doesn't think I will make it until the end of February. (SO, I'll probably Still be pregnant by the end of March!) He thinks I maybe developing Preeclampsia and I was dilated to a 2 at week 35. He is hoping I will make it until the 22nd which will put me at 37 weeks. The 22nd happens to be the day Bryan takes his USMLE Exam which he has been studying for the last 2 years! Hopefully she stays in there until he is done with his exam.

Since I am not working I have been sewing and I made a purse. I had a hard time
understanding the directions so Bryan read them and then
told me how to make it. He is so good at understanding instructions!

Lucky for this pup, she was gifted a matching skirt to match my purse and if you
look closely you will also notice the the corresponding leggins on the
front quarters. (Compliments of Bryan)

Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

Bosch Whole Wheat Bread
(Bosch mixer not required)

5 ½ C Warm Water
5 C Whole Wheat Flour
2/3 C Oil
2/3 C Honey or ½ C Xagava
2/3 C Applesauce
2 T Dough Enhancer
2 T Vital Wheat Gluten
2 T Yeast
2 T Real Salt
10-15 C Whole Wheat Flour

I use a kitchenaid mixer and it won’t hold this size of bread batch so I half it or three-quarter it.

In a Mixer add water, Yeast, Oil, Hondy, Applesauce, Gluten, Enhancer, and 5 C Wheat Flour
Use the slow to medium setting to incorporate.
Turn speed to slow and add 1 C of Flour at a time with Salt till the Dough scrapes away from the edges.
Once the bowls edges are clean Knead on speed 1 for 6 min.
Remove and shape into pans let rise and Bake at 350 for 30-35 min or till internal temp reaches 190-200.

Side note:

I love the dough enhancer, and vital wheat gluten, it makes the dough fool proof! And you can also use the dough enhancer in a variety of other doughs.

I was having a problem with my loaves cracking as they baked and I learned that if you put the raised loaves in the oven and then turn the oven on the dough is less likely to crack. Just add about 5 minutes to the cooking time.

If I half the recipe it makes 2 large loaves.

My sweet sisters decided I needed to have a baby shower.
I was nervous to have one because I haven't been in one place
for a long time and I was afraid no one would come. It turned out great,
I was so happy so many of my friends and family came and I wish it
could have lasted all day because it was fun to catch up with them. Thank you
to everyone for coming and for making this day special for me and baby Lola.
And very much thanks to my mom, and sisters who love and take care of me.
