Relaxing at the beach

One of our favorite things to do after a long day of work and school is to go for walks on the beach and watch the sunset. The sand is so powdery soft. We have a great time just walking and talking about our day. Its a great stress reliever!

Eating dinner at Alfresco's on the beach and watching the sunset!

Rum Point

On Saturday we spent the day with our friends at Rum Point. We had a great time just hanging our and floating around in the ocean. We did a little snorkeling and saw a few huge lobsters, a bunch of conch, a stringray and a bunch of other fish. We had a great time and we are greatful for such great fun friends.

Happy 30th Bryan!

Bryan turns 30 tomorrow, on the 22nd. We celebrated his birthday a couple nights before so some of our friends could come with us. We ate at our favorite restaurant Ragazzi's and. Our friend Keiren made him a cake which is a good thing because my toaster oven wouldn't do it and besides, it probably wouldn't have turned out good if I had made it.

A Walk on the Beach

I gave Bryan a hair cut and then we went for a quick walk on the beach before he had to go back to school to study. Our proof of our hard work during the week is our serious lack of a tan. I think I am more white here than I am at home! My goal is to get a bit of a tan this weekend.

Fun On the Island

Two of our friends, Shalynna and David.

Laura after a hard day of work.

Out with our friends. The Wilsons (with the kids) and the Crandalls.

Saying goodbye to Jessica.

The worste thing about this island is that no one stays here very long! I worked with Jess and she went back to Canada. She was my first real Canadian friend and I will miss her so so much!

Sad Day.

At work, on Fridays we wear blue shirts and jeans, probably not OSHA standard and I am a little disturbed about it, but I can't do anything about it.

This is just a random dental office here, but I just want to remember it. I wanted to work here, but no such luck.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

So my first patient this day was this very bright and sweet, well mannered 18 year old girl and she came with her mother. They asked me a lot of questions and were very nice. The mom scheduled an appointment with me to come get her teeth cleaned. SO WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL ME?!!!!!

Now do you see it? I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and I immediately started laughing and then I thought, maybe my first patients weren't so nice. They COULD have told me my name tag was upside down!
Oh yeah and there is my new TIffany's necklace from Bryan.

BEST PART OF THE DAY!

My favorite part of the day is just after I get off work I drive to St. Matthews Univ. to pick up Sweetie. Can you see him walking? This is what I look forward to every day.
Getting closer....

TAADAAAA! Who wouldn't want to pick this up everyday?

SO STESSED THERE'S A HOLE IN MY HEAD!

Why is there a band aid on his head? Oh he has a bad habit of resting his head in his hand while studying and digging his nail into his forehead to relieve stress! Since Bryan left last year I have noticed this never ending zit!. Well when I got here I realized why. I don't even think he knew he was doing it. He just called his his stressometer....turns red when he is stress. OR maybe when you are stressed you wear a hole in your head with your finger nail!

Hole or no hole, I love him.

Here is the close up I slyly took. I am talking about he one closest to the eyebrow, the other up higher is a legit scar from his halo---driving too fast with too many people in a truck and then rolling it= broken neck.
Studying at home, he is wearing a band aid in this picture on his stressometer, but I don't think you can see it.

Ragazzi's Italiano!

This was my birthday lunch and it was so so good! Best Italian I have ever had.

Bryan wanted to show Clint his Carbonara, it was too good. Luckily I didn't order it or I wouldn't have been able to stop, well, Bryan didn't stop either and afterwards I practically had to roll him home. Carbonara isn't considered low-fat!

Mussels! One of my favorite things here. Bryan doesn't love them, but whose birthday was it anyway?

TIFFFANY'S

This is the second time I have lost my breath when Bryan pulled out a gift for me! I don't know what it is about the color or the letters or the bright white bow, but when I am handed this box I always loose my breath while my heart races. Probably because he doesn't understand why it makes a woman happy, he just does it because he wants me to be happy. Our first year of marriage, Bryan completely forgot my birthday! I haven't let him forget it either, but this year I think he made it up to me. He got me a bracelet I have been wanting, I didn't even know that he really knew I wanted it. Because Bryan forgot my first birthday, he is determined to never forget again so he waits until midnight the night before and sings happy birthday to me really loud and bounces on the bed. I guess he was so excited this time because he asked me if I wanted my present now and of course I said yes and he pulled out this. Needless to say, he scored big time.

He also took me to my favorite restraunt here, a place called Ragazzi's. It's an Italian place and since Bryan went on his mission to Italy he loves it too. Says it is closest to real Italian food. If you come visist we will take you there!

One of my most cherished things on this island.

January was a hard month for me to be here because Bryan went back to school and I had a week all alone all day and all night and I didn't want to drive anywhere because I am bad a driving on the wrong side of the road. There really isn't anywhere to go here even if I did want to drive somewhere. I just read and laid out by the pool and drove myself to bordom! When I started work things got better, but I was still lonely every night. Luckily I got to know quite a few people from the ward and I immediatley started to look forward to each time I got to see these girls. The church not only blesses us with the true gospel (aka happiness) but it also sets us up to have friends anywhere we go in the world. This night we got together at Denet's house for dinner. It was so fun! I think Bryan is more grateful for this network then I am because it makes me so happy for days after I see them. 2 of the wives in this picture have husbands that are in school with Bryan. Truely, my favorite thing on this island.

Laura's Valentine Birthday Weekend.

Bryan and I had such a great weekend! It was Valentine's Day and then my birthday is always the day after. Bryan studies most of the day Saturday and then we went snorkeling just off shore from where we live. It was so fun to swim in the ocean and see the fish. It was hard work so after we snorkeled for about an hour and a half we went on a long walk down Seven Mile beach. I even got a tan! Then Bryan went to study for a couple more hours and then we went to dinner at a place we have been wanting to try, but it was a disappointment. That was OK though because we were together and it was fun. After I thought Bryan would want to go study some more but we walked to Caymana Bay shopping center and saw "Doubt" the movie I have been wanting to see. It was so much fun to go on a real date! Bryan put a lot of thought into this weekend and it made me very happy. What a sweetie! Thank you for taking time off from studying for us Bry!

Fountain's at Caymana Bay.
Bryan on art work at Caymana Bay.

Shoes that I want really really bad, but not bad enough because they were only $375 CI. Shopping here is ridiculous, you either pay a lot for junk or else pay an obscene amount for something cute with a big name on it.

Valentine Dinner at Cimboco Grill, which was a huge disappointment. Bryan couldn't even finish his dinner. Our car broke down this weekend so we had to go somewhere within walking distance. It was fun though.

Be My Valentine!!

So Bryan and I started Valentine's Day a little early. He was listening to me a few weeks ago talk about this Trident gum that I have been loving, it is Strawberry and it has a combo of sweet or sour. He got me about 10 packs and home made wrapping paper that said things I can't write on this blog. It was sweet and he is so thoughtful. I got him his favorite candy bar which is really for me and a card with kitties on it that remind us of Roger and Fiona. So far it will be a great Valentine and we are planning on snorkeling tomorrow for a couple hours which I am really looking forward to. I'll post more pic's later.

Be My Valentine!

By far the best day of my life was the day I was sealed to Bryan forever. I wish we could live that day over and over again.

SMMOOOOOOCH

Here are a few of our wedding pictures, just to set the mood for how perfect our marriage is!! Yes I said perfect...ok, well working on it.
